The Rye Brook jewelry store will be the very fitting setting for a champagne reception and raffle this Thursday evening in honor of a memoir about a woman's lifelong love of jewelry.

Author Beth Bernstein's memoir My Charmed Life, recently published in paperback, reflects on her life "from five to fifty" through the lens of her love of jewelry. But it isn't just a canny setting that brings Bernstein to Landsberg Jewelers, it's a personal connection through Bernstein's day job.

"It was hard to say no," said Landsberg marketing director Vinny Perugini. "Beth is a friend and an industry writer for In Design magazine, that's like the bible for the industry."
