CITY OF RYE, NY — Cyberspace in Rye just got a little more accessible for members of the community who might need special accommodations.

The City of Rye announced on Monday the latest upgrade to its website, with the aim to enhance inclusivity for all residents.

Users will now have the ability to take advantage of new accessibility features, including use of a screen reader, enlarging text, changing fonts, pausing animations and more. All of these features can be accessed by clicking on the accessibility button located at the top of the page.

The City of Rye says that accessibility has been a top priority, and the latest upgrade to its website is another step towards ensuring that all residents will be able to access important information and services. By implementing these features, the city says it hopes to reach more residents and make their online experience more user-friendly.

"We are proud to introduce these new features to our website," Rye City Manager Greg Usry said. "We believe that providing an accessible website is crucial to serving our diverse community and ensuring that all residents have equal access to the resources they need."
