City of Rye Appoints New Police Commissioner
Michael Corcoran, 49, will oversee 37 officers in the Rye Police Department and an annual budget of $10 million beginning on Feb. 1, 2016.

The City of Rye has appointed Michael Corcoran, 49, as the new Police commissioner for the Rye Police Department, according to the Journal News.
His duties begin on Feb. 1, 2016 and he will make an annual salary of $151,000, according to the paper.
Corcoran was one of 14 candidates interviewed for the position during a three month search.
