The Rye City Planning Commission is currently reviewing an application for site development plan, wetland permit and steep slope permit approval for the construction of a five-story, 100,000 square-foot self-storage facility with associated driveway, parking, walkway, landscaping and stormwater improvements. The proposed action also requires area variances from the Board of Appeals. The subject property has approximately 102 linear feet of frontage and is situated on an approximately 3.25-acre undeveloped property located between Interstates I-287 and I-95 and the Metro-North Railroad in the B-5 Interchange Office Building District.
In March 2023 the Planning Commission determined that the project requires the preparation of an environmental impact report statement pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA). Click here for the complete application and all SEQRA related documents.
