City of Rye Sustainability Committee & The Rye Arts Center Announce Prizes & Sponsors in Sign Contest
Seeking Entries in Design Competition to Promote Healthy Yards
The City of Rye Sustainability Committee (RSC) in partnership with The Rye Arts Center is pleased to announce prizes and sponsors for their design contest to create a logo for the official lawn sign of the RSC's healthy yard program. The winning design will capture the spirit of the Rye Healthy Yard Program’s mission to promote awareness about the health and environmental benefits of using natural landscaping.
Top prize will be $100 gift certificate from A.I.Friedman, a one-year membership to The Rye Arts Center and selection as artwork for the healthy yard lawn sign. There will also be winners in four age-based categories that will each receive a gift certificate from Arcade Booksellers and a discount on a class at The Rye Arts Center. All entries must be received by Friday, November 4th at 5 PM and full contest guidelines are available at ryesustainability.com.
A panel of community leaders will serve as judges and the winners will be announced at a reception to be held at 6 PM on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at The Rye Arts Center, 51 Milton Road, Rye, NY. Rosemary and Vine will provide refreshments for the event.
