On Friday, June 22nd at 6:30 pm, Community Synagogue of Rye will celebrate Pride Month with a special Pride Shabbat service at the Chapel at Rye Presbyterian Church - 882 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY.
The service will feature Alyx Bernstein, a guest speaker, as well as readings and reflections that celebrate diversity and solidarity with the LGBTQ community.
Alyx Bernstein (she/her/hers) is a Junior at Solomon Schechter School of Westchester in Hartsdale, NY. She is a writer, journalist, activist, and motivational speaker. Alyx is passionate about creating a more exciting, forward thinking, inclusive Jewish community, and is an avid fan of the West Wing and musical theater.
