Complete 2026 Rye City School District School Board & Budget Election Results Are In

The voters decided on the $117 million Rye schools budget and which candidates will serve on the board of education.

RYE, NY — The ballots are in and voters have decided on the 2026 budget and school board.

Here are the unofficial results.

The budget was approved by 80 percent of voters present and voting, passing with a total of 429 Yes votes to 108 No votes.

The $117 million budget includes funding for a full-time social worker serving both the middle and high schools, eight academic teams at the high school level, and two STEM teachers for the elementary schools. The plan also provides for upgraded Wi-Fi at the middle and high schools, along with enhanced security camera systems in the elementary schools.

Shaun Kloepfer and Emily Borell won election to the board of education.
