ConEd Bucket Truck Catches Fire During Safety Test
The equipment was being tested on Theodore Fremd Avenue.
RYE, NY — A Con Edison bucket truck caught fire Tuesday on Theodore Fremd Avenue near North Street.
No one was injured during the controlled safety test, the results of which means more insulation needs to be added to protect utility workers, a ConEd spokesman told the Daily Voice.
