Tae Kwon Do: Foot, Fist, Art - A History and Demonstration

The Rye Free Reading Room invites all members of the family to enjoy “Tae Kwon Do: Foot, Fist, Art – a History and Demonstration,” on Saturday, November 12, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.  The program begins with the story of the fascinating evolution of Tae Kwon Do as told by Master Susan Chung, 5th Dan Black Belt and co-founder of Harrison’s Bruce Chung Total Fitness.  Once a primitive fighting style developed on the farms of Korea, Tae Kwon Do is now a full medal Olympic Sport and highly regarded not just as a fighting method, but also as an art form, athletic pursuit and philosophy.  Grandmaster Bruce Il Chung, 7th Dan Black Belt, will also be on hand to share his unique experiences as a high-level competitor and coach.

Following the talk, members of Bruce Chung Tae Kwon Do’s teaching staff and Demo Team will perform beautifully synchronized forms, astonishing high-flying kicks and exciting board breaking routines.  Susan Chung will also give away prizes to a few lucky winners from the audience.
