Free SAT, ACT Presentation for High School Parents

Questions about the SAT and ACT? Lynn Carnegie will be giving a free presentation at the Rye Arts Center on Tuesday, February 2nd at 7:30pm.

Now that high school juniors have received their PSAT scores, many face the decision of whether to prepare for the ACT this spring or the redesigned SAT. Both of these college admission tests are undergoing changes this year. The ACT’s Writing test underwent a major overhaul as of fall 2015. And now the SAT’s curriculum and scoring are changing as of March 2016 to better mirror the Common Core standards.

Planning ahead can help alleviate the stress associated with the testing process. Lynn Carnegie, founder of local test prep company Carnegie Pollak, will be giving a presentation at the Rye Arts Center (51 Milton Road, Rye, NY 10580) about how to navigate the changing landscape of standardized testing. The free event starts at 7:30pm on Tuesday, February 2nd.

“There are so many questions parents don’t even know to ask about this process, especially with the changes to the SAT and ACT this year,” Carnegie says. “My presentations will give an overview of the testing options to help create a plan and make the whole process less daunting.”
