Georgia Woman Arrested on Drug, Weapon Charges
She ran out of gas on I-95 in the City of Rye.

RYE, NY — A motorist who ran out of gas on I-95 ended up being arrested for weapon and drug charges Dec. 17. State Police stopped to help Michelle A. Monroe, 32, of Stone Mountain, GA around 10:23 p.m. on the interstate in the City of Rye.
Monroe was found to have an unregistered handgun and about 1.6 grams of marijuana, police said.
She was taken into custody and processed at the New Rochelle barracks.

Monroe was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
She is awaiting arraignment in the City of Rye Court. Police said no bail or return court date was available.
