Harrison Man Accused Of 2AM Burglary In Rye

The home was occupied at the time by the family and guests, police said.

RYE, NY — A Harrison man is under arrest after a burglary was reported at 2 a.m. on Stuyvesant Avenue in Rye.

Police officers responded to a report of three men entering a Rye residence. The home was occupied at the time by the family and guests. One man assaulted a member of the household then fled, police were told.

The officers were able to gather information from the victims that assisted in the identification of the man accused of burglary. Shortly afterward, officers found and arrested him without incident.

Robert James Arquit of Harrison was booked and arraigned on a charge of Burglary in the Second Degree and is due back in Rye City Court Sept. 13.
