A Connecticut man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after being pulled over in Rye this weekend.

RYE, NY — A traffic stop Saturday night ended with the driver under arrest for driving with a blood alcohol content (BAC) more than twice the legal limit, New York State Police said Tuesday.

Troopers stopped the car on I-287 on Saturday, around 9:40 p.m. It soon became apparent that the driver, Luis A. Perez Paredes, of New Fairfield, Connecticut, was intoxicated, according to police. Authorities said his BAC was later found to be 0.20 percent, more than double the New York State legal limit of .08 percent.
