Moral Reasoning in the Real World with Ethicist Dr. Michael Gillette at Emanu-El

During this interactive Friday night Shabbat session, Dr. Gillette will present a practical method of making ethical decisions that can be applied to challenging issues in a variety of fields. Drawing on his extensive experience in clinical ethics, Dr. Gillette will demonstrate his pragmatic approach to ethical analysis by highlighting several examples from the medical environment. While the content of the discussion will concentrate on applied ethics, Dr. Gillette will also weave in some interesting insights on Jewish assumptions regarding moral reasoning and the ethics of the provision of healthcare.
