NYT: 'Masterful, Whimsical' Art of Irving Harper on Display at Rye Arts Center
The Times calls Harper's 77 pieces on display "masterful, whimsical and impossibly intricate sculptural works."

The stunning paper-based works of Rye resident, artist and architect Irving Harper is the focus of a story this week in The New York Times, as the exhibit of his creations continues at the Rye Arts Center through Nov. 8.
Harper’s 77 renderings on display are called “masterful, whimsical and impossibly intricate sculptural works,” which were created from 1963 to 2000 out of carefully cut, folded and glued pieces of paper.
“The more you look, the more you are in awe of every gesture he made,” Jeff Taylor, president of the center’s board of directors, told the Times.
