Port Chester-Rye Brook Participates in 2106 Chamber of Commerce Summit in Mamaroneck
Eight Chambers of Commerce organizations participated in the event, including others on Long Island Sound.

PORT CHESTER, NY — The Port Chester-Rye Brook-Rye Town Chamber of Commerce participated in the 2016 Chamber of Commerce Summit, recently held at the Weaver Street Firehouse in Mamaroneck.
Eight Chambers of Commerce in Senator George Latimer’s 37th Senate District participated in the event.
The other chambers include Yonkers, Armonk, Harrison, Mamaroneck, Port Chester-Rye Brook, Bronxville and New Rochelle.

Latimer, a former marketing executive, co-sponsored the summit and said it was an opportunity to share ideas “in recognition of the good work businesses in our communities are doing.”
The guest speaker this year was Travis Sluss, who created a company called MacInspires, located in Larchmont and Greenwich.

His business aims to help people get more personalized and better results from Apple products, as well as provide maintenance and repairs.
Latimer said Sluss is a local entrepreneur who went to SUNY Purchase and stayed in the area to grow a new business.
“Travis Sluss is an example of what our communities need to support and attract,” he said.
The 2016 summit was co-sponsored by Mamaroneck Town Supervisor Nancy Seligson.
