Rash Of Burglaries At Luxury Apartments Leads To Warning From Police
Rye police are urging residents to secure their homes, set burglar alarms and protect valuables before leaving home.

RYE, NY — A tony new apartment complex in Rye has drawn affluent new residents to the enviable address, but the property has also captured the interest of thieves, police say.
Because of a recent rash of residential burglaries at the St. Regis apartments on Old Post Road, the City of Rye Police Department is advising residents to secure their homes and property.
"Before you leave your residence make sure you activate your house alarm, (especially 2nd & 3rd floors) and all doors and windows are locked," the department said in a Burglary Alert posted on social media. "The perpetrators are possibly targeting unoccupied residences."
