Report: Rye High, Middle School Evacuated over Bomb Threat

The schools were searched by police and were deemed safe, and students were able to return to class.

Rye High School and Middle School students were temporarily evacuated from the buildings Tuesday morning following a bomb threat, according to report by The Journal News.

Students were housed at the Elementary School during a search of the facilities, but no bomb was found and students were able to return to class, writes The Journal News’ Terence Corcoran.

The incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. and School Superintendent Dr. Frank Alvarez alerted parents of the situation via email.
