Rye City School District Tax Levy Increase Approved By Voters

RYE, NY —The polls have closed and the votes have been tallied. The unofficial results are in. Here's what the voters decided in the 2022 Rye school budget election.
The Rye School District 2021-22 budget was approved by voters.
The budget is $99,477,734 with a 5.56 percent increase over the 2021 -2022 spending package.

School officials said the tax levy will increase by 2.54 percent.
The proposition to authorize the use of unspent lunch fund reserves to fund an HVAC project in the Rye High School Cafeteria was approved.

There were two available board of education seats. The candidates for the Rye school board seats running unopposed are:
- Jennifer Boyle (BOE President)
- Jane Anderson (BOE Vice-President)
