Rye Schools Get Extra Days Off Due to Lack of Snow

RYE, NY - Even though it seems winter won’t go away, the lack of snow has given the school children in the Rye district a couple of presents.

A communication sent from Superintendent Frank Alvarez to district parents said that since the reserved snow days have not been used, there will be two additional days off.

A spokeswoman for the district confirmed schools and offices will be closed Monday, April 25, following the Passover holiday the previous Friday, and Tuesday, May 31, following the Memorial Day recess of May 27 and May 30.
