Rye Synagogue To Relocate For Renovations
Changes to the building will include a larger lobby space and semi-circular seating.
RYE, NY — For the next 14 months, the 500 households of the Community Synagogue of Rye will use the Rye Presbyterian Church for most of its religious services. The synagogue will close temporarily for a major $6 million renovation.
The changes to the aging 1961 building will include a semi-circle seating format, an accessibility ramp for the altar, larger lobby space and new bathrooms, the Journal News said.
