Rye YMCA Announces Fall Program Registration

Registration for fall programs at the Rye YMCA began August 6 for members and will begin August 13 for non-members

Registration for fall programs starts Wednesday, August 6 for members and August 13 for non-members. The new program guide, available online or at the Y, is filled with dozens of offerings for families, youth and adults. Here is a sampling of what’s new at the Y:

Youth & Teens: Super Swimming Stars is a unique program created exclusively for children ages 3-17 with physical and developmental disabilities. A Jellyfish swim class is a new option for children ages 28 months-3 years. Middle school age youth are invited to the new Second Saturday program – a fun evening each month of camaraderie, activities and games.

Families: First Family Fridays is a time for families to enjoy time together at the Y. On September 5, families will celebrate the new school year by making fun and useful back-to-school crafts. The evenings are free to family members. Families with children ages 3-5 can enjoy exercising with the Family Fit-Nastics class. Don’t miss our Centennial Scavenger Hunt on September 21, an afternoon of fun with a team of friends or family. As always the Y offers dozens of activities for family members including daily family swim time, family exercise classes, the Adventure Guides program and a selection of free baby/toddler classes.

Adults: Intensity Intervals is for exercisers who want a challenging, vigorous workout. Kick Start Into Fitness is a great way to get started at the Y. New members, ages 12+ can purchase a 3 pack of personal training sessions for a reduced fee. The new Mommy & Me Stroller class is a creative workout for Moms with babies in strollers.

Members may register online starting August 6 at 6 am online. Children’s aquatics classes are not available through online registration. Please mail or drop off your registration lottery form by August 5. A swim evaluation form is required - click here for evaluation details. Non-member registration starts August 13 at 6 am online or 7:30 am in person at 21 Locust Avenue, Rye.
