Rye YMCA Hosts Community Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Rye
Rye YMCA is having a very unique 100th birthday celebration-- by hosting a community scavenger hunt!

[August 7, 2014] In celebration of its 100th birthday, the Rye YMCA will host a community Scavenger Hunt on Sunday, September 21 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. Families are invited to form a team of 4-6 people to test their wits and teamwork as they search for answers to tricky and humorous questions about the places they visit and sights they discover in the downtown area of Rye. This is a fun-filled family event designed to not only encourage participants to move, but to also to connect with their intellectual side and work together as a group to solve puzzles, riddles, and overcome obstacles!
The hunt starts and ends in the Y parking lot and takes place within ½ mile walking distance of the Y. Each team costs $50 and registration is available at www.ryeymca.org/scavenger until September 12. Finally, an adventure that kids and adults can enjoy together!
Organized by the professionals at Watson’s Adventures, this is sure to be a memorable afternoon. Watson’s hunts have been acclaimed by ABC, The New York Times, and The Chicago Tribune, among others. The hunt would not be possible without the generous support of the event sponsors, including All Paws, County Coach Corp., Geico Local Office, Sanders Mantzikos Shamus DDS, Sotheby’s, TD Bank, and WISH.
