Songs for Seeds to perform a free concert Saturday at Explore-a-thon in Rye

Songs for Seeds of Rye Brook and Scarsdale, the award winning band and young children’s music program, will give a free concert at Explore-a-thon this Saturday, October 22, at 1:00 pm at The Westchester Children’s Museum at Rye Playland

Explore-a-thon is an all-day event featuring storytelling, music, movement, science, art, and crafts set up at Exploration Stations throughout the Museum. Visitors are invited to follow an interactive path of Exploration Stations that winds through the Boardwalk Galleries of the Museum.

Explore-a-thon combines original activities developed by Westchester Children’s Museum educators as well as programs developed in partnership with local arts and science organizations, Westchester musicians and artists, including: Barefoot Books, Clay Arts Center, Curious on the Hudson, musician Graham Clarke, Groove Performing Arts, artist Adam Handler, Home Depot, Edith Read Wildlife Sanctuary, Rye Arts Center, and Songs for Seeds.

The Westchester Children's Museum is an interactive learning space providing children, families and school groups the opportunity to nurture curiosity, enhance knowledge and ignite imagination through creative hands-on exploration. The museum is committed to broadening knowledge of the arts, the environment, multiculturalism, and the local and global communities in an educational and recreational atmosphere.

Songs for Seeds, named "Best Music Class" by New York Magazine and "Most Magical Music Class" by Red Tricycle, began offering toddler music classes last month at The East Pointe Dance Studio, 11 Rye Ridge Plaza.
