With more than half a billion dollars on the line, everyone seems to be ready to play the odds on Mega Millions today.
All day a steady stream of ticketgoers have lined up to buy Mega Millions lottery tickets. The jackpot could be more than $540 million dollars by tonight's drawing.
At Rye Smoke Shop, owner Ted D'Onofrio found himself selling tickets to people who had never tried their luck before.
The odds of winning are an estimated 1 in 175,000,000. But, as D'Onofrio told a customer today, "You only have to get it right once."
