Westchester Man Killed In Tractor-Trailer Collision On I-287 Ramp ID'd
On Tuesday, a little after 4 a.m., NY State Police responded to I-287 and I-95 ramps in Rye, after reports of a serious injury crash.

RYE, NY — A Westchester man killed in a fatal collision with a tractor-trailer has been identified.
On Tuesday, a little after 4 a.m., New York State Police responded to I-287 and I-95 ramps in Rye, after reports of a serious injury crash between a tractor-trailer and a box truck.
The initial investigation by police found that 26-year-old Kevin J. Roman, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was driving a tractor-trailer eastbound on I-287, when he exited the roadway and hit a box truck that was disabled on the shoulder.

The crash claimed the life of 65-year-old Richard K. Bradwell, of White Plains, who was outside the box truck, adding coolant to the vehicle at the time of the collision.
Bradwell suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Greenwich Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Jane Murray, 62, of White Plains, a passenger in the box truck was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Israel Velez, 57, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, was taken to Stamford Hospital for serious non-life-threatening injuries.
Roman, the driver of the tractor-trailer, was also taken to Westchester Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers from New Rochelle were assisted on the scene by Troop K BCI, CRU (Collision Reconstruction Unit), CVEU (Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit), and Thruway Maintenance.
The crash remains under investigation, according to officials.
