4 Face Charges In LI Child Pornography Ring, Feds Say: Reports

Three Long Islanders were among four people charged in a child pornography ring, according to reports.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Three Long Islanders were among four people charged with involvement in a child pornography ring, according to reports.

Maureen Serra, of Lake Ronkonkoma; Jonathan Berretta, of Centerreach; Taylor Pick, of Calverton; and Benjamin Downs, of Massachusetts, produced child pornography with three girls and a boy, Newsday reported, citing officials and court records.

Between January 2018 and February 2020, the four coerced the children to participate in sexually explicit acts, and then created and distributed videos and photos, News 12 Long Island reported.

Each defendant faces a count of conspiracy to sexually exploit children, Newsday reported. The victims names and ages were not revealed in court documents, Newsday reported.

The defendants were held without bail and were scheduled to appear March 4 in federal District Court in Central Islip.
