Both Sachem North, East Girls Cross-Country Team Earn State Ranks
Both teams face each other today at Sachem High School East's home course.

The State Rankings are out and for the first time since the split the Sachem North and the Sachem East Girls Cross Country teams are both ranked in the top 20 of the large schools (Class A) in New York State.
The two squads shared a bus this past weekend and traveled upstate to historic Bowdoin Park, the annual site of the New York State Federation Championships, to compete in the very competitive Bowdoin Park Classic.

Featuring an elite field of 30 teams from five states, Sachem North managed a 5th place finish with East just behind in 6th place, performances that earned both teams a spot on the New York State list.
Sachem East will host Sachem North today on the Tom Toscano 5K Cross Country Course located on the back fields and woods at Sachem East.

Both North and East easily won their season opening dual meets and now, after a summer of training together, get to test one another on one of the most challenging cross-country courses in New York. Race time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
