Unfortunately, since our season was cut short early, this will be my last blog writing as a Sachem North varsity lacrosse player. Instead of talking about how our season ended, I wanted to use this blog as an opportunity to thank the people who have supported me this season and through my years in the program, as well as talk about next year.
First off, I wanted to thank my teammates. Being voted team captain by the players around me was a huge honor. It was also an honor to play with each and every player on the team. This was one of the most closely knit teams I have ever been on. We were truly a family.
I would also like to thank all the coaches in the Sachem North program, from the middle school right up to varsity. Every coach in the program has a different method, but is going towards the same goal, a county championship for Sachem North. These coaches have pushed me for my six years in the program, and molded me into the player who I am today.

The athletic department, and administration were also extremely supportive of our team this season. I can not remember a home game where either one of the athletic directors Mr. Blieberg and Mr. Beutel, and Mr. Nolan or Mr. Dolan were not on the sidelines.
Chris Vaccaro also deserves a thank you. Since Sachem Patch started, he has been all over covering the lacrosse team. He does a great job getting the word out about our games. He also was the one who gave me the opportunity to write this blog.

Lastly, and most importantly I’d like to thank my friends and family. The Pow Wow , a group of my friends, was at every single one of our home games. Their chants and support, clearly gave us home field advantage. My family has been supporting me with my lacrosse career since I picked up a stick in fifth grade, without their support I don’t think I would have made it this far.
As for next year, Sachem North will be right back at the level that we were at this year. We are returning plenty of young talent, and I cant wait to see how the underclassmen do.
I will be playing for the Division II runner up, Adelphi, next year. I can only hope that my experience is half as good as the last four years I spent at Sachem North.
