Brookhaven Councilman Hosting This Year's National Night Out
Councilman Kevin LaValle will be hosting the annual event to promote police community relations on Aug. 6.
BROOKHAVEN, NY — Expect fun for the whole family at the National Night Out on Aug. 6 in Centereach. Councilman Kevin LaValle, who represents the 3rd Council District in the town of Brookhaven, will be co-hosting the festive night.
National Night Out is an annual event to help encourage police community relationships and neighborhood camaraderie, according to the town's parks and recreations website.
LaValle made a short video on the event inviting community members to come, and also feature some of the highlights from last year.

LaValle will be co-hosting the family friendly night with the Suffolk County Police Department. The event will be held at the Centereach pool complex on 286 Hawkins Road and run from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Swimming, games, prize winning, and the chance to interact with over 25 local vendors will all be available on the night. The event is free, and over 700 people attended last year.
