Ms Diaz is a dancer of great beauty and grace. She has been dancing all her life.  She developed a love of teaching and has 10 years of experience.  Ms Diaz's classroom is  a positive environment where students can grow.  She hopes to share all the benefits of dance with each and every student .
Ballet Level Level 1 - This class is for students over 18 years old with little or no dance training or for those students who are returning to ballet after any number of years. It is a complete introduction to ballet technique. It is also good for body toning and getting in shape. This class focuses on strength, flexibility, acro technique and tumbling skills. &nbsp;including bridges, back bends, rolls, hand stands, cartwheels, working towards roundoffs, back tucks , walk overs and aerials.
Flexibility and Strength: Deep stretching and core conditioning help students safely bend, kick, and leap. Tumbling and Tricks: Beginners start with forward rolls, cartwheels, and handstands, while advanced students learn walkovers, handsprings, and aerials. Balance and Control: Students practice holding stable balances and smooth transitions. Dance Integration: Tricks are blended into fluid, choreographed dance routines set to music. For our young students a popular class is our tap and ballet combination classes.Dancers will enjoy learning basic ballet and tap terminology along with fun and engaging games. With basic instruction in ballet and tap, this class trains the body to begin to recognize its potential and teaches proper technique to build strength. The classes are fun and the student is exposed to two different dance style. This class will give your child the joy of dance.

The Jay Heritage Center (JHC) is proud to welcome educators and the general public to our site during September 2026, Constitution Month, to commemorate our nation’s journey towards independence and democracy. The free program is co-sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Social Studies Council. The event will be the first of many lively conversation about America at 250 with some of our country’s leading history scholars. It is open to teachers throughout the Mid Hudson and Sound Shore communities as well as Fairfield County.
Professors David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman and Beverly Gage will take the stage at the new Wachenheim Center to examine the history of the nation-state and the contested nature of American national identity. The panel will discuss what the United States and the Constitution have meant to citizens over time and how that vision has changed or stayed constant. &nbsp;The event is FREE but registration is required. Beginner Ballet Class is designed for adults who have a passion and desire to learn ballet but have no prior dance experience. The classes provide a welcoming and friendly environment, with individualized instruction and attention to introduce the fundamentals of ballet. Dancers will learn the basic body positions, core ballet exercises, proper body alignment, and more! .There is no dress code for these ballet classes, but we ask that you wear yoga pants or tights and leotard or snug-fitting attire so that the instructor can see your form and ballet slippers.
