Coffee Shop for Five Corners

A coffee shop is being built at the Five Corners location of Lake Grove near Hawkins Avenue and Smith Road.

The Village of Lake Grove has not returned calls regarding the facility, which has been confirmed as a coffee shop. Multiple sources said it is not a Starbucks, but Village mayor Robert J. Scottaline has not returned a phone call or fax to shed light on what the actual building is.

For years a landmark deli operated at that location. Three different attempts to speak with a builder at the scene were halted because there was no one there when Patch arrived.
