Cultivating Positive Relationships Through Project Kindness

From Sachem Schools: Students across each Sachem Central School District middle school have recently participated in the Project Kindness initiative led by seniors in Jonathan Chiramonte’s Peer Education class at Sachem High School North.

This year, seniors from the Peer Education class met with all sixth-grade students and shared important messages about acceptance. With the assistance of the peer educators, students participated in several activities and games that made them more familiar with their fellow classmates as they broke barriers and recognized the commonalities that exist amongst one another.

Throughout the day, the ideas of the “power of hello” and how a few simple wwords can change someone’s day were reiterated.
