UPDATED: Two Teens Die From Cesspool Fall
Three fire departments respond to scene Wednesday evening.
Two teens from the Sachem community died Wednesday night after falling in a cesspool behind a one-story home on Blue Point Road in Farmingville.
Eduardo Venegas, 16, fell in and Edgar Ivan Calderon-Castro, 19, tried to save him and died as well.
An unidentified man who opened the door at Samuel Suarez's home where the incident occurred did not speak English. The backyard still has the ropes they used during the incident and a flip flop sandal and high-top sneaker sit in the middle of the dirt near the now closed cesspool opening.

A family representative from Venegas, who answered the door at his home on Blue Point Road, about a mile from Suarez's home, declined to comment, as did two of his friends standing in the front yard.
An individual representing the Calderon-Castro family also did not comment in front of his Waverly Avenue home in Holtsville.

According to a new page on Facebook called "R.I.P Eduardo Venegas", there will be a vigil held at his home Thursday evening at 8 p.m.
Both teens were students at Sachem High School East.
"The Sachem Central School District is saddened to learn of the tragic passing of two young members of our community," the district said in a statement. "Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of these two young men."
The district, which had a moment of silence for the teens during school Thursday at East, is offering grief counseling services to students and staff.
"They were loved by their family and friends and will be sorely missed in the halls of Sachem East," said East Principal Rory Manning, speaking at Thursday evening's academic awards ceremony.
It's still unclear how the cover of the cesspool came off. The incident is under investigation by Suffolk County Police.
UPDATE 2: Edgar Calderon-Castro, who jumped into a cesspool in Farmingville Wednesday night as he was attempting to rescue Eduardo Vanegas-Fuentes, who had fallen in, was also pronounced dead this morning at Stony Brook University Medical Center, Suffolk County Police has announced.
