Holbrook Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Patchogue

Michael Frustaci lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a minivan Tuesday afternoon, police say.

A Holbrook man was killed Tuesday afternoon when he crashed his motorcycle in the back of a minivan on Sunrise Highway in Patchogue, police said.

According to police, Michael Frustaci, 27, was riding a 2014 Yamaha east on Sunrise at the North Ocean Avenue exit when he lost control of the motorcycle and rear-ended a 2014 Toyota minivan at about 3:40 p.m.

Frustaci was airlifted via Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said. The woman driving the Toyota was not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation into the crash is continuing, police said.
