Lake Ronkonkoma Bank Robbed

A man robbed a Lake Ronkonkoma bank on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, the man entered the Capital One bank located at 131 Portion Road at about 5:20 p.m. He presented a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the man fled on foot, police said.

The robber was described as white, between 35 and 40-years old, about 6-feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a light-colored baseball hat, blue t-shirt, dark jeans and sunglasses.

It’s the second bank robbery in as many days in Suffolk County. A man with a very similar description robbed an East Islip Chase bank Wednesday afternoon, but police did not say if they believe the same man is behind both robberies.
