- An off-duty NYPD cop was found dead in a Suffolk home. The 44-year-old was a 16-year veteran of the NYPD and was assigned to the Upper West Side. Investigators have commented on his death as accidental, but that is still pending an investigation. Sources told The New York Post that suicide or homicide are not suspected, and they will have more information as this story develops. (Sachem Patch)
