She was unresponsive and without a pulse before the team stepped in Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
HOLTSVILLE, NY — A 60-year-old woman in cardiac arrest was revived by first responders in Holbrook on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
Just before 6 p.m., 5th Precinct police officers Frederick Reed and Stacey Byrnes responded to a 911 call that a woman was "suffering from cardiac arrest" inside of her home on Mews Court, police said, adding that when they arrived, she was found "unresponsive and without a pulse."
The officers began cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and used an Automatic External Defibrillator device on the woman to regain the electrical rhythm of her heart, police said, adding that it was members of the Holbrook Fire Department who continued to maintain her heart's rhythm.
