Suffolk Hit-And-Run Victim Identified As 18-Year-Old: Police
The 18-year-old Selden man was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, police say.
UPDATE 12:50 P.M: An 18-year-old Selden man has been identified as the E-bike rider seriously hurt in a hit-and-run crash on Dare Road on Wednesday, police said.
ORIGINAL: SELDEN, NY — The rider of an electronic bicycle was seriously injured in a hit-and run-crash Wednesday in Selden, Suffolk police said.
As the rider traveled southbound on Dare Road, near 13th Street, just before 10 p.m., a vehicle struck him, police said. The driver drove away without stopping, continuing southbound on Dare Road, according to police.

The rider, who hasn't been identified, was treated for his injuries at Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.
Detectives asked that anyone with information about the crash call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
