Man Robs Farmingville Bank
Man handed a teller a note demanding cash Thursday afternoon, police say.

A man robbed a Farmingville bank on Thursday afternoon.
Police say the man entered Chase Bank, located at 2430 North Ocean Avenue, and approached a teller at about 4:05 p.m. The man produced a note demanding cash.
The teller complied and gave the man cash from the drawer. The robber fled on foot toward Horseblock Road in an unknown direction.

The robber was described as white, between 30 and 40-years-old, about 6-feet tall with long dark hair. He was wearing sunglasses, a light-colored baseball hat and a white t-shirt.
A West Islip bank was robbed on Wednesday evening by a man with a similar description, but police did not say if they believe the robberies are related.
