Man Taken To Hospital After Holbrook Shooting: Suffolk PD
The 41-year-old man was transported to a local hospital with "non-life-threatening injuries," police said.
HOLBROOK, NY — A 41-year-old man was transported to a local hospital after he was shot in Holbrook on Tuesday morning, Suffolk County police said.
Police said the man, who is from Holbrook, was shot on Grundy Avenue, near Terry Boulevard, at about 12:45 a.m. He was treated for “non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. Police did not release the man’s name.

Fifth Squad detectives are investigating the “circumstances surrounding” the shooting, a police spokesman said.
The shooting is the sixth since Saturday. Two people were fatally shot over a roughly three-hour period Saturday into Sunday morning in West Babylon and Amityville. Two men were shot but survived on Sunday in Center Moriches. Another man was shot to death in Wyandanch on Wednesday morning.

It was not immediately clear if any of the shootings are related. A police spokesman said the shootings are all being actively investigated.
No further details were released by the police.
