It is hard to dine on Long Island without frequenting at least one of the many Lombardi's venues. For nearly 40 years, the Lombardi family has been responsible for bringing great food and catering to the local area. One of the newest additions to the Lombardi legacy is Lombardi's Market on Main Street in Holbrook.
According to Lombardi's mission statement, "Our reputation, built on total customer satisfaction, is the basis for our existence." The exterior of Lombardi's Market is welcoming, inviting its customers inside for a variety of treats.
Equipped with a bakery, a counter with various Panini's, wraps and pizza, and multiple deli counters, there is something for everyone. Chicken cutlets prepared grilled, fried and francese are just some of the available options. Seafood also comes in a variety of types, prepared for individual tastes.

After purchasing your choice, Lomardi's Market welcomes you to, "relax and enjoy your meal at our Market Cafe from any of the food emporiums." According to one employee, "People really like to come in for a quick lunch or dinner and be able to sit down. It's different from any of the other Lombardi's locations because it's not a restaurant setting. You can have your sandwich made to your liking, grab a dessert, and dine at your own pace. It's been a real success."
Lombardi's Market also offers catering, custom menus for events, and individualized help in building your event's menu.

My guest and I frequented a few of the deli counters and assembled a meal consisting of a whole stuffed artichoke, fried artichoke hearts, stuffed mushrooms, potato croquettes and small orders of both baked stuffed shells and penne with pesto sauce. The entire meal cost only $40, and was more food than two people could have hoped to eat.
Ordering was enjoyable, because the clerks worked with us to portion our meal as we preferred. We were allowed to order a specific number of mushrooms, and artichoke hearts, and did not have to settle for a prepackaged appetizer.
We thoroughly enjoyed the stuffed shells and penne with pesto, and found them to be prepared with a plentiful amount of sauce and cheeses.
Vegetarians beware. Though the staff makes an effort to find out what products contain meat - and many tags dispel information as such - it does get past the staff at times.
