A Bohemia man was arrested after he threw an incendiary device out of a moving vehicle in Lake Grove Sunday night, police said.
Officers responded to a home in Lake Grove after Anthony Persico, 25, threw a bottle full of flammable liquid out of a car around 7:50 p.m., police said.
The bottle caught on fire after landing in the street and a resident in the area put out the fire with a water hose, police said.

Witnesses provided police with a description of the vehicle and Persico was arrested about 40 minutes later at the Gulf gas station, located at 5106 Expressway Drive South in Holbrook, police said.

Persico is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. He was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Monday.
