Police: Gunman Robs Holtsville Gas Station

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Holtsville gas station that occurred Tuesday night.

According to police, a man armed with what appeared to be a shotgun or similar type of weapon, confronted an employee at the Wave gas station, located at 1680 North Ocean Avenue, at 10:35 p.m. The man demanded money from the employee, who complied with the demand, police said.

The robber then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The employee was not injured. No arrests have been made.
