1. Blood drive to be held in honor of Mt. Sinai man who died in motorcycle accident. New York Blood Center will hold the blood drive Sunday at the Mount Sinai Heritage Center from 1:30 to 6 p.m., in honor of late Frank Shepard. Shepard died in a motorcycle accident in 2021, and according to police 16 motorcyclists died in 2021. The event will include live music, food, and more. (Patch)
2. Ronkonkoma man charged in burglary spree. "Police said Robert Blackmore, 54, who was arrested Friday night by detectives on the Long Island Expressway in Dix Hills, would grab rocks and throw them at businesses throughout Long Island in order to break into them and steal cash." He was responsible for numerous break-ins that had residents and business owners concerned for months. (Patch)
3. ICYMI: Loving Care Foot Spa in Ronkonkoma raided by police after community complaints. "Chunjuan Zhang, 52, of Flushing was charged with two counts of unauthorized practice of a profession and two counts of third-degree sex abuse, both misdemeanors, according to police. She was released with an appearance ticket returnable to First District Court in Central Islip at a later date." (Sachem Patch)
