- Dolphins seen off Greenport in the Peconic Bay. Check out the video in the link of the group of dolphins swimming in a big group and moving throughout the East End of Long Island. (Patch)
- Beautiful weekend of weather ahead. After an inconsistent week of weather, the forecast for the weekend is ideal. Expect early morning showers Friday, with clearing later in the day that will lead to sunny skies all weekend. A perfect weekend for some outside activities, which we will update you on what's happening throughout the island tomorrow. (Weather.com)
- ICYMI: Inmate busted bringing contraband into Yaphank Jail. William Santiago, 36, of Holtsville, was caught during booking trying to bring razor blades, drugs, lighting and more into the facility. Sheriff Errol Toulon said, "These vigilant correction officers and investigators prevented possible seriously injury or the loss of life of both staff and inmates alike with this discovery. These razor blades could have been used both here in the Suffolk County Correctional Facility and upstate in prison. I salute their hard work and commend them for their diligence in keeping Suffolk County safe." (Patch)
