1. New York Islanders legend Mike Bossy passes Away. It was a sad day for New York sports yesterday, as four-time Stanley Cup winner Mike Bossy passed away from Cancer at 65. Bossy was one of the most prolific goal scorers in NHL history. "The New York Islanders organization mourns the loss of Mike Bossy, an icon not only on Long Island but across the entire hockey world," said Islanders President and General Manager Lou Lamoriello in a statement. "His drive to be the best every time he stepped on the ice was second to none. Along with his teammates, he helped win four straight Stanley Cup championships, shaping the history of this franchise forever." (Patch)
2. ICYMI: School bus carrying 19 students in crash on LIE Tuesday afternoon. The school bus rear-ended a vehicle that had stopped in traffic westbound near exit 61. There were two other cars involved in the crash as a result of the bus rear-ending the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and the 77-year-old bus driver was issued a ticket for traveling to close to the vehicle in front of him. (Sachem Patch)
