- Memorial Day Weekend forecast starts with rain but ends with beautiful weather. Late rain Friday night will carry over into Saturday starting off the weekend wet. The great news is Sunday and Monday are set to be beautiful days for you to enjoy the holiday weekend! (Weather.com)
- Long Island photo of the day. We hope you all caught the beautiful sunset yesterday, as it was something out of a movie. Kaylee Goldman sure saw it, as her photo at Cedar Beach was the Patch Long Island Photo of The Day. Check it out in the link! (Facebook)
- ICYMI: Long Island schools will have extra patrols by police through the end of the school year. "The Suffolk County Police Department offers its deepest condolences to the Robb Elementary School community, as well as the law enforcement officers who responded to the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas," Suffolk County Police Commissioner Rodney K. Harrison stated. "This tragic act of violence against children and school staff inside what should be a safe haven is unfathomable and a parent's worst nightmare. While there are currently no credible threats in Suffolk County, the department is monitoring the ongoing investigation and will be increasing patrols around school buildings out of an abundance of caution." Gov. Kathy Hochul announced shortly after this statement that the patrols would continue through the year. (Huntington Patch)
