- ICYMI: Lake Grove man arrested after assaulting women and seriously injuring her. Jarrod Pearson, 43, was involved in a domestic dispute with a woman in his family when he tried to choke her. The woman and a 17 year old fled the house and went to a neighbor's home to call 911. Police arrived at 3 a.m. and a five-hour standoff ensued until Pearson surrendered at 8 a.m. Pearson was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree strangulation, and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
