- ICYMI: Over 50 summonses issued, 2 arrested, and 4 spas closed after spa crackdown in Suffolk County. Spas in Centereach, Selden, and Coram were all targeted in the raids by Suffolk County Police. Two women were arrested on a felony charge of unauthorized practice of a profession and over 50 summonses were given, and you can see what businesses were targeted in the link. (Sachem Patch)
- ICYMI: A Holbrook bouncer's charges have been upgraded from a fatal punch to man outside Tailgater's Bar. David Cruz of North Bellmore punched Jack Scott outside the bar on Aug. 21. Scott, 32, died from his injuries on Sept. 3. Cruz was originally charged with felony assault with intent to cause physical injury and the charges have just been upgraded to manslaughter. He has been out on bond since his arrest on Aug. 24. (Sachem Patch)
